MTN offers a variety of fields in its different operations. These learnership opportunities give candidates knowledge and experience in their chosen fields. MTN learnerships award successful candidates for their effort. Selected applicants will receive a monthly allowance or stipend but must have their own accommodation, and transport and provide their own meals. Most of their learnerships will be for a duration of 12 months.

MTN Learnerships Requirements
All learnerships with this company are awarded to deserving candidates who meet all the requirements.
Requirements for MTN learnerships:
- You must have a legal Matric certificate
- Must be computer literate
- You must be fluent in English
- Applicants must not be employed
- All applicants must have good time management, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
- You must work well as part of a team and individually
- Must be detail-orientated and presentable
Selected candidates may be required to work weekends or even night shifts for some fields. Candidates must submit certified copies of their ID book, all academic records and a CV with their application. Applicants with a disability are invited to apply and must submit a medical certificate stating their disability with their application. Applications received late, missing documents or that are not completed in full and signed by the applicant will not be taken into consideration.

Successful applicants could be invited to attend an interview or partake in assessments before awarding the learnership.
MTN Learnerships Closing Date
Closing dates for MTN learnerships are usually from the middle to the end of the year. However, these do not all close at the same time, therefore, candidates must ensure they apply on time. Closing dates for each field will be posted with the application form on the MTN Website once they open.
Department of Tourism Learnerships 2023 – 2024

Their learnership programs encourage unemployed, educated students to build on their experience and skills. Most of the learnerships provided are for a duration of 12 months or longer. The learnership programs provide practical, as well as theoretical experience for successful applicants. These programs are based on the scarce skills shortages within South Africa. With the completion of their learnerships, some candidates may be offered a permanent position, whereas others will be skilled and experienced enough to enter the workforce, in other sectors of the country.
Department of Tourism Learnerships Requirements
Candidates must usually be between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age, depending on the Department’s requirements. Candidates must include a curriculum vitae with contact details, contactable references, as well as any information they feel may be pertinent to their application.
Please also include ID, certified copies of all related certificates and proof of address. Candidates must be permanent South African residents and citizens. Candidates are usually only allowed to do one learnership, through one of the Departments. Candidates with disabilities are welcome to apply to all Departments of Government.
Candidates will also require to do the following:

- Proficiency in one other National Language
- Candidates must be Computer knowledgeable
- Candidates must not have a permanent employment

Department of Tourism Learnerships Application
Online Application is made available during the year depending on the need within the Department. Some of these learnership application forms can only be collected at the Departments involved. Most of the Government learnerships will be processed on a Z83 application form. This form must be accompanied by all relevant documentation.
Candidates must ensure that they complete the application form fully and sign it before sending it in. Any forms that are missing information, a signature, date or documentation, will be disqualified. Any late entries will not be looked at. Qualifications and details will be verified.
Successful candidates will be contacted and an interview arranged. If you have not heard anything within 3 weeks to 3 months after closing dates, you can assume your application was unsuccessful. Applications that are faxed or e-mailed will not be considered.
Learnerships by each Department of Government are advertised as they become available yearly. Candidates can also find more information with their local Departments of Tourism, and University Campus Career Centers or keep an eye on the press for learnership advertisements.
