MediRite is a pharmacy located in 90 Checkers stores and 56 Shoprite stores across the country. MediRite provides accessible and affordable healthcare and medication to customers at all income levels.

MediRite entered the medical services and supplies industries in 1999, when its first store started trading at a Checkers Hyper.

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Rustenburg, North West

Medirite Platinum Junction are inviting students to apply for the position of Pharmacist Assistant (Learner Basic). Students who have passed Matric, with English and Mathematics as subjects and dream of following a career path within the retail and pharmaceutical industry, should apply.

After completing the programme, students will qualify as a Pharmacist’s Assistant – the position will allow learners to work and acquire a qualification at the same time.
The learner will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in dispensing medication, as well as performing pharmacy related administrative duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must have completed Matric (NSC)
Must have passed English and Mathematics as subjects in Matric
Must have experience working in a Pharmacy (advantageous but not essential)
Must have knowledge of dispensing systems and ordering systems (advantageous but not essential)
Must be computer literate
Must have experience working in MS Office
Must have good language skills
Must be fluent in English and at least 1 other official language
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer skills
Must pay close attention to detail
Must have strong numerical skills
Must be willing to work retail hours
