This company is a combined venture of BP Southern Africa and Shell SA. During the 1960s they took hands and started building the SAPREF refinery. In 1963 the company employed their first workers and has grown substantially since then.
Their products include fuels such as petrol, diesel, aviation, and marine fuels, along with paraffin, petroleum gas and more. Their operations are based on the east coast in Durban. SAPREF Learnerships Requirements
The requirements may be slightly different for each field, yet, there are a couple of basic ones that apply to all. Below we have listed these requirements for your convenience. Their learnership programs may run for 12 months or longer and will depend on the field made available.
Requirements for learnerships:
- Applicants must be citizens of South Africa
- All must have a valid ID book
- Candidates must hold a legal Matric certificate or Grade 12
- Applicants must have a diploma, degree or certificate for the field they are applying to
- All must be proficient in English
- Candidates must be able to work as part of a team and individually
- Applicants must show a positive attitude
