Value Group is now accepting applications for its showroom learnership program.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to get a start in the working world and also gain some valuable work experience at the same time.

Location

This learnership will be held in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and Western Cape.

What is This Learnership Program?

The Value Group is providing unemployed kids in three regions with learnership opportunities in Freight Handling and Supply Chain Management. Learners will gain work experience in an operational setting as well as theoretical classroom training one week each month.

In KwaZulu-Natal (Pinetown and Cato Ridge), the Western Cape (Kraaifontein), and Gauteng, the NQF Level 3 Freight Handling Learnership is available (Germiston, Olifantsfontein, Pomona and Isando).

In Gauteng, the NQF Level 5 Supply Chain Management Learnership is available (Germiston, Olifantsfontein, Pomona and Isando).

The program offers jobless youth access to education and training and aims to provide participants with a qualification that will allow them to be employable in a Logistics and Supply Chain Operational Environment.

The program will last for 12 months beginning on 1 March 2023.

Requirements

Please make sure you meet ALL of the following minimum entrance requirements before submitting your application because if you don’t, your application will be rejected:

  • You must be between the ages of 23 and 29.
  • Level 3 NQF Handling of Freight Learnership: Matric with a minimum 40% pass rate is required.
  • Level 5 NQF Supply Chain Management Learnership: Matric with a minimum 50% pass rate is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 17:00.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and attend theoretical classroom training one week every month
  • Must be willing to undergo literacy and numeracy tests
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
