DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 12 months
East Coast Radio, owned by Kagiso Media (Pty), is offering an internship position to young Videographers in the Advertising sector. The aim of this programme is to provide the candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge, as well as exposure to the video production field. The candidate will learn the various operations and aspects of the company’s programming department. The programme will take place from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 and the candidate will receive a monthly stipend.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Ensuring that the clients’ videos are overseen and facilitated in end-to-end production
- Ensuring that all equipment needed to be hired for shoots are organised
- Capturing all clients visions correctly and to their budget
- Handling all reverts and editing projects timeously
- Adding video motion graphics and special effects
- Handling all pre-production aspects, such as call sheets, shot lists, as well as production schedules
- Ensuring that calendars and ECTV bookings are added to and updated on a regular basis
- Ensuring that various production equipment (such as audio and video recorders, cameras, lighting equipment, microphones, and props) are transported, operating, and set up for studio and location production
- Maintaining and operating the proper levels and collaboration of video recorders, cameras, audio, and other production tools
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must not be committed to another field of study during the duration of the programme
- Must have a Code-8 Driver’s licence
- Must have previous knowledge working with cameras, video, and other production equipment
- Must have skills and knowledge with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020, Adobe After effects CC 2020, and Adobe Photoshop CC 2020
- Must have client liaison experience (advantageous)
- Must have directing experience (advantageous)
- Must have excellent time management skills regarding schedules
