Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone Company (SOC) Ltd (RBIDZ) is a state-owned company, located on the Northern Coast, in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The industrial development company is responsible for encouraging international export competitiveness, by way of tax and duty free incentives, providing world-class infrastructure and competitive input costs.

RBIDZ is owned by the KwaZulu-Natal government and reports to the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DEDTEA).

DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 24 months
Salary: Market Related

Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) are inviting graduates to apply for various Internship vacancies within the company, including the following:

  • Stakeholder & Communications Internship
  • Supply Chain Management Internship
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Internship
  • Economic Development Internship
  • Investment Promotions and Facilitation Internship
  • Health & Safety Internship

Successful candidates will gain relevant workplace skills and experience in order to prepare for the job market.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
Stakeholder & Communications Internship:

  • Must have completed one of the following qualifications: National Diploma or Degree in Public Relations and Communications, National Diploma or Degree in Marketing and Communication, Degree in Marketing and Communications, B Com Marketing or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Driver’s Licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be fluent in Zulu (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be unemployed (no working experience is required)
  • Must be between 20 and 35 years old
  • Must have NOT taken part in any prior internship programmes

Supply Chain Management Internship:

  • Must have completed a 3 year recognised qualification, specialising in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Must be unemployed (no working experience is required)
  • Must be driven and committed
  • Must be results oriented
  • Must take initiative
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Must work well in a team spirit
  • Must have good social skills
  • Must work efficiently and deliver results on time
  • Must be between 20 and 35 years old
  • Must have NOT taken part in any prior internship programmes

Monitoring and Evaluation Internship:

  • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Must have completed a Degree qualification in Public Administration or Management
  • Must have completed a Monitoring and Evaluation Certificate (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be unemployed (no working experience is required)
  • Must be between 20 and 35 years old
  • Must have NOT taken part in any prior internship programmes

Economic Development Internship:

  • Must have completed a National Diploma or Degree in one of these fields: Social Science, Development Studies, Economic Science, Business Management, Communications or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Driver’s Licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be unemployed (no working experience is required)
  • Must be between 20 and 35 years old
  • Must have NOT taken part in any prior internship programmes

Investment Promotions and Facilitation Internship:

  • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Must have completed a National Diploma in one of these fields: Marketing, Business Administration, Office Administration, Project management and Business Economics or related fields
  • Must have completed a Degree in one of these fields: Marketing, Economics, BCom, Project Management or Business Development Studies (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must have a valid Driver’s Licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be unemployed (no working experience is required)
  • Must be between 20 and 35 years old
  • Must have NOT taken part in any prior internship programmes

Health & Safety Internship:

  • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Must have completed a Certificate SAMTRAC or similar, OSH Legislation, and Incident Investigation
  • Must have completed a Degree Occupational Health and Safety Management/ Science or related field
  • Must be unemployed (no working experience is required)
  • Must be between 20 and 35 years old
  • Must have NOT taken part in any prior internship programmes
