ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
GPR Training Academy was established in 2014 as an extension of GP Retail Operations. GPR Training is a 50% black-owned company, with industry experience in training and development. With a number of educated staff, managers, assessors, moderators, and facilitators, GPR’s 974 students have been able to obtain full qualification learnerships- 104 of which were learners living with disabilities.
GPR’s learnership opportunities require a total of 2 theory lessons per month, coupled with workplace experience, assignments, and practical sessions. At the end of each assessment, as well as during the mid-way mark, GPR issues their candidates with certificates of attendance. GPR also allows their deaf candidates to receive an equal learning opportunity by providing sign language interpreters for the recruitment, pre-assessment, assessment, and facilitating stages.
Once all candidates complete the qualification with GPR and receive the endorsement of external moderation, they will then receive an office SETA qualification- allowing them to be launched into the working world.
