They focus on developing talent that is already there, and on giving individuals the skills needed to excel.  Their internship is divided into sections.  Candidates will receive, training and orientation initially, then leadership training and plant rotation.  This is followed by on-the-job training in each specific field as is applicable to the career choice.

Toyota Internship Programme 2021 Requirements

Applications are accepted yearly for a selection of internships to fill openings, which may arise within the company.

Candidates will also be required to have the following:

  • Candidates must hold a valid Matric certificate
  • Candidates must be a South African citizen
  • Candidates must hold a valid ID book/card
  • Candidates with a degree or diploma within the selected discipline
  • Candidates must be MS Office, as well as computer literate
  • Candidates must be proficient in English (read, write & speak)
  • Candidates must not hold any kind of criminal record
  • Candidates with a strong interest in the automotive industry are preferred

More information will be made available to qualifying candidates, depending on the internship.  Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.  Ensure you attach all relevant certified documentation to your application, in addition to a curriculum vitae.  The curriculum vitae should reflect your expertise and competencies along with your skills and interests.

Toyota Internships Application & Application Forms

Internship online application processes are made available during the year when there is an opening within the company.  It is suggested to frequently check on the Toyota Website for any openings or developments during the year.  Candidates can also find out about the application forms, at their individual campus career centres.

Toyota believes in its people, thus their staff is seen as a valuable asset.  They consider with care, before selecting interns or even permanent employees.  It is advised that candidates ought to keep this in mind when submitting their applications, as it may be weeks or months before any development will occur.

They will contact all shortlisted candidates if you are selected.  Your skills, qualifications and all relevant documentation will be taken into consideration, make sure the form is completed fully, and all your records are attached.

They do try to keep candidates up to date and informed at all times.  They cannot, however, respond to each application, due to volumes.  Therefore candidates are asked to be patient and wait if you are successful, they will be in contact.  Confirmation of receipt of your application will be sent to you if this does not happen within an hour or so, please just confirm that you have entered your correct e-mail address.  You can do so by simply logging in again, and making sure all information is correct.
